**Leads** are the start of the sales pipeline: potential customers and needs before a formal quote.

**How to open:** **Sales** → **Leads**
**Campaigns:** sales desk tab **Campaigns** (if visible)

## Why use leads

- gather new contacts and enquiries in one list
- track status (e.g. new, in progress, won, lost)
- create a **quote** from a lead
- share work across the sales team

## What you can do

1. Open **Leads**.
2. **Add new** / create a lead — fill in company or contact, source, notes.
3. Filter by status, owner, or search.
4. Open the lead detail — edit data, add activities / notes.
5. When the customer is ready for a price: create / convert to a **quote**.
6. Close or mark the lead as won / lost when the process ends.

## Campaigns

**Purpose:** group leads into a campaign, send emails, and track replies.

1. Sales desk → **Campaigns**.
2. Create a campaign, add leads / contacts.
3. Compose and send the email.
4. Track who opened / replied (depending on setup).

Campaigns do not replace quotes or invoices — they support starting the sale.
